Principal Cellist of the Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra in Georgia in 2018−2019. In 2019, she was invited to perform as a soloist for the Torch Lighting Ceremony of the 2nd European Games.
Jo-Chan Lin graduated in 2011 with the highest honours from Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, after studying under Maurizio Gambini. In 2014, she graduated from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole’s String Quartet advanced course conducted by Andrea Nannoni and Miguel Da Silva. She received a Diploma of Specialization in Chamber Music from the National Academy of Santa Cecilia after completing the institution’s master’s degree in Chamber Music under Carlo Fabiano. From 2013 to 2015 she studied under a full scholarship at the W. Stauffer Academy in Cremona with the String Quartet of Cremona. From 2011 to 2015, she was the cellist of Quartet Sincronie.

Jo-Chan Lin was born in Taiwan in 1988 and started playing piano and violin at the age of five and cello at the age of ten.
After receiving her diploma of cello in Taiwan she moved to Italy, where she began her studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, where she excelled academically, which caused her to be invited numerous times to perform in the Chamber Music Week event, and as a soloist at the Conservatory of Music. She
was selected as a member of the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Rome. She also participated in many important performances, such as Italian Nobel Prize-winning Female Scientist Rita Levi-Montalicini’s 100th Birthday Concert and was invited to perform at the Circus Maximus and St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican for 1.5 million people as part of the Blessing Ceremony of the late Pope John Paul II. During her studies at the conservatory, she cooperated with conductors Luciano Pelosi, Valentina Peleggi, Giuseppe Lanzetta, Marco Angius, Michelangelo Geleati, Marco Frisina and pianist Franco Medori. She was selected as vice principal of the F. Fenaroli Symphony Orchestra and the principal of the 41o parallelo Orchestra.

She organised and performed the ceremony for the 106th National Day of Taiwan and the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations with the Vatican.
She gave three solo concerts in Taiwan: at the Taipei Chang-Kai Shek National Concert Hall, at the Yilan Art Center in Taiwan, and at the Yuanlin Concert Hall.
She performed with the symphony orchestra of Teatro Rendano in Cosenza as assistant principal cello, directed by Giovanni Pellicia, and for the Capella Musicale del San Rufino and Tempietto Concert Season in Rome.
She performs as soloist with Georgian Sinfonietta orchestra at different cities in Georgia: Tblisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Telavi, Dusheti, Stepantsminda and Batumi.
She also performed as the concertmaster with Georgian Sinfonietta in Munich Concert Hall and Berlin Konzerthaus.
She was the principal cello of Immling Festival Orchestra (Germany); she performed 26 concerts with them.
She was invited by Ambassador Lee to perform a duo concert with the Italian pianist Marco Noia for the Taipei Representative Office in Italy.
She was invited to perform in Ngau Chi Wan Civit Centre (Hong Kong).
International Awards:
In 2009, the third place with the Nuovi Orizzonti string section at the Arezzo International Competition in Italy.
In 2012, the second place in the 12th European Grand Prize of Music Competition and the second place in the 4th European Città di Filadelfia Competition.
In 2013, the second place of second International Fernando Mencherini Modern music Competition.
In 2014, new talent of a contest hosted by the Accademia Praeneste.
Teaching:
In 2018 she was the principal cello teacher of Rome International school in Italy
in 2019-2021 she was the Cello department chair of Seed Music Academy in Hong-Kong
In 2021 she wrote her own cello method book "Jo-Chan Cello Method" for young beginner cello players.
In 2022 she is the Program Director in Tutti Music Studio Central Hong-Kong
